A common question asked by our clients when purchasing a suit is, what is the best thread count for a day to day suit.  First off, let me explain to you what is meant by  “thread count.” Thread count is the number of threads per square inch in the fabric, it is then translated into a number that indicates the fineness of the fabric.  The higher the thread count, the finer and lighter the fabric.  So to answer the question, it might be appealing to purchase a suit with a high thread count, but keep in mind, the higher the thread count the suit becomes more fragile.  For day to day use, we recommend purchasing a suit with a thread count between Super 100s – Super 180s.  When you purchase a fabric exceeding super 180s, you will notice the fabric is softer and more delicate.  This makes the suit more susceptible to display characteristics from your day to day use.

The world of suits can be exciting.  You have the option to experiment with different patterns, color coordination or style iterations.  The beautiful thing about custom suits, the final design of your suit is limited by your imagination.   So go forth and conquer your fears, and let your confidence shine through!
